Previously known as the All India Pre-Medical Test, the NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam is mandatory for any students who wish to pursue an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) in India.

The test is required for entrance into both private and government colleges and universities in the country. It is only held once annually, with over 14 lakh candidates applying for approximately 75,000 possible seats in 2020.

It is essential to begin studying for the exam and to ensure all deadlines are met for applications. There is also a fee to write the exam, and this must be paid in full according to the specific dates outlined by the National Testing Agency, the organization which oversees the exam. This information is also provided to students through websites offering NEET exam information.
